To provide a smooth, accountability-focused fitness experience, we collect only the essential data required:

• Account Information: When you register an account, we collect your email address, full name, username, and optional profile picture.
• Social Connections: We track users you choose to follow and your followers to build your private, trusted gym friend feed.
• Daily Workout Snaps & Activities: We store the workout proof photos, timestamps, text captions, and workout tags you upload to maintain your habit streak.
• Camera & Photo Permissions: We request device access strictly to enable you to take your daily workout photo and select your avatar. We never access your gallery outside of the specific photos you select.
• Technical & Diagnostic Data: Standard anonymous crash reports and device performance data to ensure reliable app operation.

2. How We Use Your Information

We believe in purposeful data usage. Your information is used strictly to power your daily consistency:

• To authenticate and manage your SnapGym user profile securely.
• To calculate, maintain, and showcase your daily workout streak counter and transformation calendar.
• To deliver push notification alarms when your daily streak is about to expire so you never miss a gym day.
• To notify you when close workout buddies like, react, or celebrate your gym progress.
• To protect our community against abusive behavior and spam.

• Firebase Authentication & Google Sign-In: Secure authentication ensuring passwords and identity credentials never touch untrusted servers.

4. Your Privacy Controls & Ownership

You have full autonomy over your data inside the SnapGym application:

• Profile Visibility: Set your profile to private so only confirmed workout partners can see your photos.
• Post Deletion: You can delete any of your workout posts directly from the app at any time.
• Account & Data Deletion: You have the permanent right to delete your entire account, which permanently removes all your photos, streaks, and personal records from our database.

5. Children's Privacy

SnapGym is designed for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally as we launch new features on Google Play and Apple App Store. When changes occur, the "Effective Date" at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
